Reverend Pam Bowers-Smith, servant of God and of the Lord’s Church; wife, mother, grandmother, pastor, business woman and girl-friend;   While she has been set apart to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and serves in the Pastoral Ministry, her true passion is the teaching ministry.

Reverend Bowers-Smith was licensed into the gospel ministry by the Second Baptist Church (now known as Cathedral International) of Perth Amboy, NJ in December 1989.  She was ordained to serve in the Lord’s Church by the Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship & Cathedral Assemblies (CEFCA) under the leadership of Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr., Presiding Prelate and Senior Pastor of Cathedral International in September 1996.  Under the direction of the Holy Ghost and with the blessing of their Bishop, Reverend Bowers-Smith and her husband, Reverend Joshua Smith, left Cathedral International after 13 years of service and ministry in various leadership capacities, and began the Bible Based Church/Christ for the World Ministries, Inc., in February 1996.

Reverend Bowers Smith is a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School, NY, NY (1978).  Her areas of expertise are in administration and office management.  She worked in the corporate sector for many years and has worked in the religious sector for the last 18 years, 6 of which she served as executive assistant to Bishop Donald Hilliard.  Reverend Bowers-Smith has taken various courses of study (secular and religious) at Somerset Christian College, Middlesex County College and East Brunswick Adult School.

She is a certified chaplain and member of the Chaplaincy University International Coalition of Pastors and Chaplains, North Brunswick, NJ.  She has served as Chaplin of CEPCA under the leadership of Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr.  Reverend Bowers-Smith is an experienced (from soup to nuts) Conference Coordinator and Event Planner.  She has served as Conference Coordinator/Planner for the Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship & Cathedral Assemblies Leadership Conferences and the Safe Harbor Pastors’ Conference and as Event Planner in the secular arena as well.  She is a board member of Women United for Christ of Jersey City, NJ.  Apart from the work of ministry, her other passion is interior decorating &design, which she does as a side line as time permits.  She continues to pursue varied courses of study, ever endeavoring to better serve and fulfill the call of God on her life.
